A New Start
Meet Hedwig the Cherry Valley duck. Hedwig was left without any duck friends and so came to live at Number 13.
Ducks can get depressed when they're by themselves, even with other birds, and Hedwig was really pleased to see the others.
They were less impressed...
(Bonus points if you can see all 6 ducks in that photo.) Ducks are much nicer to each other than chickens though, so after a bit of quacking and eyeing each other up, Hedwig has explored and everybody seems happy, especially the drake who is delighted to have another lady to look after.
I love ducks!! One day we might install some here :) Hedwig is such a great name too!
ReplyDeleteThe ducks are hilarious, they are great characters. They’re messy- they trample and dabble everywhere and try the leaves of EVERYTHING. They spit it out because they don’t like it and then do it again, just to be sure! Lovely big eggs though.
